Waste to Energy

Most waste  to energy  projects require proper segregation of waste before it is used in the plant for generating energy.. Level of awareness to segregate waste is poor in South Asian countries and very little has been achieved even in hospitals, and large corporate houses. India’s waste to energy plants have not been fully successful in Hyderabad and Delhi due to three main reasons:

* No proper segregation could be achieved,

* High moisture contents in the waste,

* Poor work culture and level of technical awareness amongst the workers of the plants.

* VECPL has reached an understanding with a US based company - Sanitec for promoting thier unique emition free medical waste    treament technology where segregation may not be neccessary. It is a combination of steam induced microwave disinfection    system.
